When I grow up!

When I grow up!

Phew! Just made this weeks post in time!!! Things are busy, busy, busy here at work. Today’s post is about career options through the eyes of a chilld. My friend Helen wrote the amazingly funny song for Mothers Day a couple of years ago, she asked me to do some illustrations to put to the song. The song is all about kids dreams, and what they will be when they grow up. Hopefully some day I will animate the images along to the song, for now they are just stills. Until next week, have a great weekend :)

China markers and delayed dreamers.

China markers and delayed dreamers.

Being delayed for an artist/animator is just an excuse to sit around and draw people. It’s amazing how different people react to delays, some people move around anxiously, while other just sit down and nod of, these ones I like to call the delayed dreamers! They make my life easy, as they usually are the ones who sit still for more than a minute. Recently I found an old China Marker and started to scribble some of these people, here is some sketchbook pages.

Phew!

Phew!

Just about made this weeks post! It’s been hectic week at home in Ireland. As some of you may know when I get home with the family, life gets pretty busy. Anyway here is some very very rough sketchbook pages. When I get back to normal next week I will post some of my Dublin scribbles.

Kasey Collective

Kasey Collective

This Thursday is the Kasey Collective Exhibition in aid of The Kasey Kelly Trust Fund. I have a piece called “The Broken Hearted Tree Was On The Mend” in the exhibition. You will find it on the facebook page.

Kasey Kelly is a one year old girl who has been diagnosed with AT/RT Cancer (Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor). She is currently in Crumlin Hospital, but the life saving treatment she needs to survive is not available to her here …in Ireland. As a result her family need to raise €500,000 to send her to Boston to get the care she requires. Kasey Collective brings together the work of dozens of artists from many different backgrounds, who between them have many different styles, but who do have one thing in common – they all wanted to help raise the vital funds for Kasey’s treatment. The exhibition is sure to have something for everyone, check out the links below for more information.
